August 22: Official opening ceremony of the Copa América 2024 in Barcelona.

From August 22 to 25: In August 2024 the last preliminary regatta will take place in Barcelona. The Copa América teams will compete for the first time in their new AC75s.

August 29 to October 7: The Louis Vuitton Cup (Challenger Selection Series) is the crucial event that decides the team that will challenge the Defender, Team New Zealand, in the 37th America’s Cup Final Regatta. This series includes a Round Robin stage and a Final stage. The Round Robin stage may involve a single or double round, depending on the number of eligible competitors and the race time available. The two winning teams of this stage will secure a place in the Final, where they will compete for the big trophy.

September 10-26: The Youth America’s Cup begins with six days of practice from September 10-15, 2024, followed by fleet racing beginning September 17, with twelve teams divided into guest teams and teams from the 37th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup. Eight races will be held in the initial qualifying rounds for each group, and the top three teams from each will advance to the Final Series, which consists of four races to determine the top two pots.
The Copa América Juvenil Final is scheduled for September 26, featuring a winner-take-all showdown race.

September 28 to October 13: The Copa América Femenina Puig (Puig Women’s America’s Cup) begins immediately after the Copa América Juvenil, beginning with a briefing on September 28, followed by practice days until October 3. Racing begins on October 5, with guest teams and America’s Cup teams divided into two groups. The Semifinals round consists of four fleet races where the top three boats from both groups advance.
The Final on October 13 culminates in a one-on-one showdown race between the top two teams.
From 12 to 27 October: It’s time to experience the big event of the 37th America’s Cup. Defending Emirates Team New Zealand will face the winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup in a 13-race series. Each race will be a head-to-head between the two teams, with the winner scoring one point and the loser scoring no points.
The team that accumulates seven points first will be the winner of the 37th America’s Cup and the Defender of the 38th America’s Cup.
J-Class: In October 2024, during the America’s Cup, the J Class has been invited to host its World Championships in Barcelona from October 7 to 11, with a practice regatta on October 3 and 4. The impressive fleet includes Topaz (J8), Ranger (J5), Svea (JS1), Velsheda (JK7), Shamrock V (JK3), Rainbow (JKZ1), Hanuman (JK6).
